Recent developments in Europe have expanded the obligations and duties that SEVT is facing there, which in turn requires an augmentation of its presence in Europe. As we know, the policies and strategies in many areas which directly concern the Food Industry, are now formulated at the European level. The national governments are then required to implement these policies at the national level. Furthermore, representatives of the various European organisations are now participating in a co-ordinated way in the formulation of these policies.
