ECOTROPHELIA Greece 2020

For one more year the innovative ideas and the creativity of the young Greek students were demonstrated through the ECOTROPHELIA 2020 National Competition of eco-innovative food products, that is organized by SEVT and celebrates 10 years of successful presence in Greece. 

This year, 11 groups of students from 7 Universities reached the final phase. This year’s products' were:

1st team

 

National and Kapodistrian University of Athens / Department of Chemistry 

Product: LEON, an enriched beverage product of Greek origin, based on selected Greek organic hippophaes leaves, in two flavours (forest fruits/watermelon and pineapple flavor).

 

 

 

2nd team

 

 

Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Chemical Engineering.

Product PROATO, oat milk beverage enriched with whey and casein protein and functional trace elements and vitamins.

 

 

 

3rd team

 

Agricultural University of Athens, Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition.

Product NISSOS GUM, a functional, sugar-free chewing gum, which offers complementary oral health protection, in mastiha or clementines flavour. 

 

 

 

 

4th team

 

University of the Aegean, Food Science & Nutrition Department

Product: Spread up, a series of three different spreads, composed of a unique combination of excellent quality ingredients, with high nutritional and ready for consumption.

 

 

 

5th team

 

 

University of Thessaloniki, Chemical Engineering Department & University of Thessaly, Architecture Department. 

Product: Doozy, delicious gluten free crackers boosted with probiotics, for a unique nutritious experience - 

 

 

 

6th team

University of the Aegean, Food Science and Nutrition Department. 

Product: O-live, a unique and ecological type of breadsticks with five different filling flavors, consisted of 100% Greek fruits and vegetables. 

 

 

 

 

 

7th team

 

Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Chemical Engineering & Athens University of Economics and Business.

Product: PROBIODORO, Tomato vinaigrette sauce with lactic cultures

 

 

 

 

 

8th team

 

University of the Aegean, Department of Food Science and Nutrition.

Product: PlayFood – Hephaistos Spread, is a set of four colorful spreads that are inspired by nutritional treasures of Lemnos island, Aegean Sea and Greece, such as honey in combination with fruits, vegetables and superfoods that make delicious formulas for children and adults.

 

 

 

9th team

 

University of Thessaly

Product: CrackTales, an organic cereal/legume-based snack with spreads/marmalades that are made of organic fruits/vegetables.

 

 

 

 

10th team

 

National Technical University of Athens, Food Chemistry and Technology, School of Chemical Engineering. 

Product: FISQUE instant fish soup, is an innovative and eco-friendly fish soup mixture that can be turned into a delicious fish soup instantly, by simply dissolving the mixture in hot water. 

 

 

 

 

11th team

 

University of the Aegean, Food Science & Nutrition Department

Product: Chicken Boost from A to Zinc, is a chicken-based product stuffed with dehydrated vegetables, rich in vitamins, minerals, trace elements and other nutrients.
