A ceremony full of enthusiasm!

The new generation continues to innovate successfully! For one more year the innovative ideas and the creativity of the young Greek students were demonstrated through the ECOTROPHELIA 2022 National Competition of eco-innovative food products, that is organized in Greece by SEVT, since 2011. 

This year, 12 groups of students reached the final phase. You may see all products catalogue, a video with the products, the video of the Awarding Ceremony and other photos.

The winners of this year’s competition were:  

1st award and award for the “Best Commercial & Marketing Plan” for the product Granny’s Wish, of the Agricultural University of Athens / Department of Food Science & Human Nutrition. It is a highly nutritious Ready-to-Drink shot or dressing based on legumes and vegetables.

2nd award, the product My Vefir, University of the Aegean, Food Science and Nutrition Department. A vegan kefir-like beverage, in 3 different flavours and eco- friendly packaging.

3rd award, the product Bit-Eat, of the University of Thessaly / Department of Food Science & Nutrition. A nutritious range of rusks, produced in three different flavours, ready to eat snack, or the whole day.

An award for the “Best Presentation” was also given to the product Φanies, of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki / Chemical Engineering Dpt. High protein, vegan brownies from red lentils. 

The winners will represent our country at the ECOTROPHELIA 2022 European Competition at SIAL in Paris.

Before the awarding a constructive discussion was held with the participation of the President of SEVT, Mr. I. Yiotis, the Deputy Minister of Education & Religious Affairs, Mr. A. Syrigos, the Secretary General for Research & Innovation, Mr. A. Kyriazis and Mrs. L. Adam, member of the team that won the National Competition in 2019, currently R&D Specialist in MELISSA KIKIZAS company.
