These awards are an initiative of FoodDrinkEurope, which represents the industry at the European level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications are open for three categories of award; projects can be an innovation, idea, activity or charitable commitment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Greener Planet Award<\/em> \u2013 For an SME committed to reducing its environmental impact<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Nutrition Action Award<\/em> \u2013 For an SME committed to offering more nutritious products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Next-Gen Innovator Award<\/em> \u2013 For a young person or team with a startup innovating in the food and agriculture space with an aim to create more resilient, sustainable, and safe food systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why should you apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We think your [project\/initiative] would be a great foundation for an application to the [Greener Planet Award\/Nutrition Action Award\/Next-Gen Innovator Award\/these awards]. Not only is this a chance to promote [project\/initiative] to audiences in [home region\/country] but also at the highest levels of the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These awards are a great opportunity to tell your sustainability story to a European audience. And if you make it as a finalist, your story will be showcased to the people shaping our food future here in Brussels, including policymakers, global and European food and beverage manufacturers, retailers, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2022, The Foodies showcased projects from 15 finalists from across Europe, culminating in 3 worthy winners and \u20ac2500 generated for charity.
