Supporting Greek society via the company’s food donation scheme

YIOTIS S.A. has remained over the years, passionately committed to helping Greek families and society in general. In 2021 the company continued to run its food donation scheme in a year when there was remarkably high demand, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. For yet another year YIOTIS S.A. placed great emphasis on supporting vulnerable social groups such as children and families. It also responded immediately to the needs of people affected by natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, and so on. Against that backdrop, in 2021 the company made major donations of food. To be more specific: It provided 550,000 portions of meals and beverage and more than 11.5 tons of flour to feed people in need. It provided food donations to more than 120 organizations such as municipal social grocery stores, foundations, non-profit organizations and other community associations, placing particular emphasis on the needs of children and families. As every year, it continued to provide regular support to the Smile of the Child, the Ark of the World, the Friends of the Child kindergarten, the Holy Metropolis of Peristeri and the Theotokos Foundation. This unwavering support for these organizations continues also in 2022. “Everyone at YIOTIS S.A. has been raised on the principles of its founders, who made it their priority from the outset to support our society and, especially, children,” said Marios Papathanassiou, Commercial Manager of ΥΙOTIS S.A.  “It is our fundamental duty to do everything in our power to respond to their needs and to make their day-to-day lives and those of their families easier”.
