CSR program by YIOTIS, to help reduce the low birth rate.
Due to its timeless commitment to tackle major social and national issues, YIOTIS company continues for the 6th year its Corporate Social Responsibility program “A hope is born!”, to help reduce the low birth rate which affects particularly our country.
The program, which is being implemented in collaboration with the civil not-for-profit association HOPEgenesis, runs in 90 remote villages in the Regional Units of Arta, Evrytania, Fokida, Fthiotida, and Evia, in 14 municipal units of the Municipalities of Central Tzoumerka, Karpenisi, Dorida, Lamia, Makrakomi and Karystos. The common denominator between these remote villages is that they had a negative ratio of births to deaths. Through its program, YIOTIS SA supports women who dream of becoming mothers in those areas, covering the cost of prenatal screening and childbirth. Baby foods are also provided to babies born under the initiative for the first two years of their life.
It is very hopeful the fact that with the program’s intervention, 70 babies have been born so far, resulting in negative birth rates starting to reverse and hope is being born. Also, until today, the company has provided more than 150,000 meals of JOTIS baby milk and cream.
YIOTIS S.A. will continue to support births in Greece through the “A hope is born!” program.
