LIFE CIRCforBIO Open Day
Στο πλαίσιο του ευρωπαϊκού έργου Life CIRCforBIO, που στοχεύει στη μείωση των εκπομπών αερίων του θερμοκηπίου, κυρίως μέσω της αντικατάστασης ορυκτών καυσίμων από προηγμένα βιοκαύσιμα (καύσιμα που προέρχονται από βιομάζα), διοργανώνουμε ένα ενδιαφέρον Open Day σε συνεργασία με το Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο.
Στην εκδήλωση αυτή, θα έχετε τη δυνατότητα να ξεναγηθείτε από την ομάδα του Εθνικού Μετσοβίου Πολυτεχνείου, στο βιοδυλιστήριο του CircforBio, να δείτε το σύστημα σε πλήρη λειτουργία.
Επιπλέον θα ενημερωθείτε για τα ενδιαφέροντα αποτελέσματα του έργου σχετικά με τη μονάδα επίδειξης και την πλατφόρμα του CircforBio.

The CIRCforBIO project (A circular economy system for multi-source biomass conversion to added value products) aims to is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) mainly by replacing fossil fuels, that it is, fuels derived from biomass (any organic source).
Specifically, in the present project, biomass is derived from separeted food waste (households), bussiness waste (cafes, restaurants and bakeries) and agricultural residues of Municipality of Lavreotiki as well as from food industries (brewery, potato industry & fruite juice industry).
By designing, developing and demonstrating a standard biorefinary system at the Lavrion Technological Park the biomass will be utilized for its bioconversion into a range of value-added products such as biodiesel, bioethanol, biogas and fertilizer.
The project started on 1st October 2019 and will last 44 months. It is co-funded by EU LIFE programme, which is the EU’s most important financial instrument for the environment. The consortium consists of the following entities: NTUA (coordinator), SEVT, Hellenic Petroleum (HELPE), Municipality of Lavreotiki, University of Verona, ENVIRECO SA, NEVIS SA, SATISTICA Ltd.
