Vision of HTP
The vision of the HTP “Food for Life” is to develop a national strategy focused on the concerted research activities in the field of food and nutrition science, aiming to the optimal use of research results for the development of innovative and improved food products and processes in line with consumer needs and expectations. Such targeted activities will promote the competitiveness of the Hellenic Food & Drink Industry based on economic growth, innovation, technology transfer, sustainable food production, and consumer’s confidence.
Main objectives of HTP
The HTP “Food for Life” aims to:
- Promote Innovation in the Food & Drink Sector
- Coordinate food research activities to develop a common Food Industry Strategy
- Provide an effective and sustained interaction among all stakeholders at national and European level
- Promote cooperation, communication, education, and technology transfer
Members of HTP
The HTP “Food for Life” brings together the main stakeholders of the Food & Drink Sector, namely: 100 Businesses (Large & SMEs), 6 Research Institutes, 11 Universities, 2 Audit Bodies, Policy makers – General Secretariat for Research & Innovation (GSRI), Other Scientific Bodies related to the Sector.
Guidance Council
The Guidance Council is the main body of the HTP “Food for Life” that formulates its policy and takes the relevant decisions. Distinguished personalities from the Academic and Research Community, Auditing and Scientific bodies, Policy makers (General Secretariat for Research & Innovation) and the Food & Drink Industry participate in its composition.
