At SEVT we believe that there is no good and bad food. To ensure good health, a balanced and healthy diet should be adopted, along with adequate physical activity and proper information and education of consumers at all levels. Nevertheless, health and body weight are affected by various factors (genetic predisposition, dietary habits, lifestyle and food availability, etc.).
Healthy nutrition is a very important issue, for both children and adults, and should be dealt holistically, through the implementation of responsible education and training, aiming at reducing obesity. All involved parties should collaborate in order to achieve this goal: Authorities, scientific community, industry, retail, catering and consumers. The constructive dialogue of all stakeholders could lead to proposals and solutions for the future.
