Food & Drink Products Reformulation survey 2021-2022
In 2023, SEVT renewed the survey launched in 2018, which reflects the actions undertaken in 2021-2022 by the industries of the sector regarding the reformulation of their products, as well as the development of new products, which are healthier choices.
The main results of the recent survey and the results for the 10-year period 2010-2020 can be found below, as presented at the FOODTECH-GLOBAL PACK 2023 International Exhibition.
- About 80 products in the last 2 years have been reformulated in terms of salt and/or total sugars.
- Actions have been taken to help control portions, mainly in the Dairy sector.
- More than 60 new products are healthier options, mainly within the Beverage sector.
